Our Journey at Brainacademycenter

We started Brainacademycenter back in 2018 with a simple idea — make yoga less intimidating for beginners. After struggling to find welcoming classes ourselves, we realized there was a gap between what yoga newcomers need and what's actually available.

Based in beautiful Coteau-du-Lac, just outside Montreal, our small team has grown into a community of instructors who share one belief: everyone deserves a gentle first step into yoga. No judgment, no impossible poses, just real guidance that meets you where you are.

Our Vision & Approach

We believe yoga isn't about perfect form or fancy studios — it's about finding your path to wellness, one breath at a time. Our mission is simple: create a space where absolute beginners can discover yoga without feeling overwhelmed.

At Brainacademycenter, we've tossed out the intimidating aspects of traditional practice. Instead, we focus on what actually helps beginners stick with it — clear instruction, supportive community, and celebrating small victories. We're not about pushing you into advanced poses; we're about helping you build confidence through consistency.

Whether you're dealing with stress, seeking gentle movement, or just curious about yoga, we've built Brainacademycenter as your first step on a longer journey — not the whole marathon at once.

Meet Our Team

The folks behind Brainacademycenter bring diverse backgrounds but share a common thread — we all remember what it felt like to be beginners. Our instructors combine real expertise with genuine empathy, creating a uniquely supportive experience.

David Chen

Co-founder & Lead Instructor

David spent 10 years teaching before realizing most classes weren't designed with true beginners in mind. He's crafted our curriculum specifically to bridge the gap between complete novice and confident practitioner. When he's not teaching, you'll find him hiking with his dog or experimenting with plant-based cooking.
